William suddenly leaned over and approached Juliana, staring at her fiercely.
“If you don’t want to die, then forget about my uncle! He is not a good person!”
Juliana reached out to help William tidy up his loose tie as she replied, “I’m not afraid. You just need to create an opportunity for me to meet Christopher and leave the rest to me.”
William brushed Juliana’s hand aside and loosened up the tie.
“Do you think I’d just hand my woman over to my enemy?” Juliana leaned back lazily against the chair, smiling, contemptuously.
“Don’t think so highly of yourself, William. You are not qualified to be Christopher’s enemy.”
Her words rubbed William the wrong way.
He grabbed Juliana’s slender neck and asked, “You got a death wish or something?”
Juliana yanked William’s hand away from her neck. “Stop being so stubborn, William. You should know very well what you need to do.”
William calmed down and sat down again.
Now that he was involved in a scandal, his marriage with Juliana would surely get called off.
In that case, it would be better to use her to make a fortune.
“I don’t mind helping you, but I want tangible benefits instead of these promising claims of yours.”
Juliana knew very well that she couldn’t make huge gains without making huge sacrifices, so she agreed at once.
“You wanted to set up a high–end counter in Yancey Mall, right?

William got up and left, but he suddenly paused when he reached the door.
He turned around and looked at Juliana with unscrupulous
eyes.
“If you really do succeed, you’ll have to sleep with me first.” Juliana’s face immediately changed when she heard this.
“William, don’t you go too far now!”
“I need to have control over you in case you change your mind at the last second and team up against me with Uncle
Christopher instead.”
“We are on the same boat here. I won’t do anything that will destroy my future.”
William saw right through Juliana and didn’t believe her at all.
“It’s hard to say. Just do as I say. Don’t worry. I’ll keep the secret as long as you are obedient to me.”
After saying that, he left.
Juliana picked up the coffee cup and smashed it against the door in anger.
The cup broke into pieces, and the fragrance of coffee spread all over the room, quelling her anger.
William was the bridge connecting her and Christopher, so she couldn’t afford to offend him just yet.
“Once I conquer Christopher, dealing with William will be a piece of cake!” Juliana thought to herself before returning to the Yancey residence with a smile on her face.
“Julia, did William hurt you?” Sophia asked in distress when she saw the red marks on Juliana’s neck.

“I’m fine, Mom. It’s just a minor injury. I have made myself clear with William and will send out the annulment statement later.”
“That’s good to hear. Come here, I’ll apply the ointment for you.”
After having her wound treated, Juliana said, “Mom, for the sake of our family’s development, I would like to enter a marriage of convenience with the Forte family. If William is not suitable, then I shall replace him with Christopher.”
She had thought Christopher was old and ugly before, but now, she had discovered that he was handsome and rich, so she had to claim him for herself.
Of course, she wouldn’t show Sophia what Christopher really looked like just yet.
She wanted everyone in the Yancey family to believe that she was sacrificing herself for their sake.
As Sophia didn’t know Christopher, she assumed he was a cold–blooded, balding middle–aged man.
Naturally, she wouldn’t let her daughter marry such a man. “Julia, you are not a tool for marriages of convenience. You don’t have to sacrifice yourself for the Yancey family. I hope you can be happy instead.”
“I’m happy to help my parents and my brother. Christopher may be old and ugly, but he has a high status and no scandals, so it’s good to marry him.”
Under Juliana’s strong persuasion, Sophia had no choice but to agree with her.
“Julia, I hope you get married because of love. You can try marrying Christopher first. If it’s inappropriate, then forget it.” She made it sound as though Juliana could marry Christopher at any time as long as she wanted to.

Meanwhile, at Quilton University, the police arrested Joel after finding out about his crime.
Lawrence, who fainted after hearing the news, had Hendrix send him to the hospital.
As Joel had framed Cecilia, Hendrix uploaded the original video to the campus forum to clarify things and prove her innocence.
Of course, Yvette’s and Christopher’s faces were censored. As a result, Cecilia was completely proven innocent.
While most of the commenters sided with Cecilia and sympathized with her encounter, news of Juliana and William’s annulment as well as Juliana’s plans to sing for Yates Corporation’s film spread to Quilton University.
Not only did those two incidents help divert people’s attention from the scandal about her being cheated on, but they also made people sympathize with her.
When Cecilia got the news, she was having dinner with Philip. Philip said respectfully, “Professor Yancey, Juliana is unwilling to receive treatment, but Mrs. Yancey will give me her medical records tomorrow as a sample.”
Although they were both professors, Cecilia’s level was much higher than that of Philip’s.
“The medical records must have been forged. You need to find out the suspicious point, and I will try my best to get Juliana to the hospital for an examination!”
“That would be great. An examination is the most accurate.”

He told Solomon, “Go and talk to Juliana’s attending doctor. Bring him over to me if you find out that he is a problem.” “Understood, Mr. Forte.”
An hour later, Kevin, the attending doctor, was thrown in front of Christopher.
The sharp scalpel spun between Christopher’s fingers as if it would cut his finger in the next second.
Although it would miss his fingers each time, it still left people feeling uneasy and anxious.
Kevin was so frightened that his forehead was full of cold sweat and his body trembled violently.
“You… Who are you? It’s against the law to kidnap people! Let me go!”
Christopher suddenly stopped spinning the scalpel, causing it to fall on his palm.
He turned the handle of the scalpel, reflecting the cold light into Kevin’s eyes, which scared him so much that he screamed, “Help! Help!”
The scalpel cut through the leather couch while he was
screaming. Christopher warned him, “If you don’t want to be cut open, then shut up.”

He handed Kevin’s phone over to Christopher, who then tossed it on the couch without even looking at it.
He waved to Kevin and said, “Come here. Get closer.”
Kevin was so scared that he couldn’t move his legs.
Solomon dragged him over to Christopher.
“Bow.”
With Christopher’s order, Kevin lowered his head tremblingly, and his body shook like a chaff.
The sharp scalpel then fell on top of his head like a razor, shaving a bit of his hair off.
He could even hear the sound of a sharp blade scratching against his scalp.
Rustle… Rustle…
The sound pierced Kevin’s ears like a drill and made him shake even harder.
Christopher looked at the shaking head and reminded Kevin in a deep voice, “Don’t move. I am not good at this, so I might accidentally cut your scalp off.”
Kevin got even more scared. He hurriedly lowered his head and cried, “What do you want to know? I’ll tell you!”
This powerful man was so terrifying that he looked like a demon.
“Then tell me about Juliana’s illness and your financial transactions with her.”
Kevin didn’t dare to tell the truth or lie.
“Juliana has a rare blood disorder, but it’s not so serious. She hired me with money and asked me to exaggerate her

Christopher held the cold scalpel against Kevin’s neck and said, “I have limited patience. You still have an opportunity to tell the truth. You won’t die if you lose your scalp, but it’d be hard to rejoin your neck once it is cut off.”
Kevin was so scared that he didn’t care about Juliana and told the truth in a hurry.
“This is all the secrets between Juliana and me. She has long since been cured of her illness, and she often deliberately triggers her condition just to make Cecilia donate her blood. She said that she should save more blood so that she wouldn’t have to worry about the blood bank not having her blood type if something really happened to her in the future.”

Kevin immediately logged in to his account and pulled up all the medical records related to Juliana.
“Twenty–eight times in total. The number of blood drawn varies from time to time. Everything I know is recorded here.”
In other words, he was indicating that there could be things that he didn’t know about.
That was to say, Juliana might actually have drawn more blood from Cecilia than what was stated in the hospital’s records.
Thinking of the abuse Cecilia had suffered, Christopher was

Because Christopher’s murderous aura was too intense, Kevin hurriedly lowered his head and begged for mercy.
“I was wrong to have been influenced by greed and lost my ethics. Please spare me this time. I am willing to expose myself and Juliana!”
Compared to his life, Juliana’s threat was not important at all.
Christopher’s eyes narrowed slightly, and his coldness poured out from his long and narrow eyes.
“You should have Juliana’s true examination report in your hand. Hand it over.”
Kevin nodded, pointed to his phone, and said cautiously, “I put it in my son’s cloud drive. I will need to log in and download it.”
Christopher handed the phone over to Kevin.
After Kevin logged in to the cloud drive, Christopher sent the real examination report to his phone.
“Think about it and see if you are missing anything.”
Kevin thought there was nothing further to explain, so he asked, “I’ve told you everything I should say. Can I go now?” Christopher smiled. “You want to leave? No problem. All you have to do is repay the blood you’ve taken from Cecilia.”
Kevin’s face turned pale when he heard that.
Even if he drained all his blood, it would not be enough to repay what Cecilia had lost.
